Would you like to get work experience and training to help you find employment?
The spring term of our CanDo course is soon to start at Hill End. Learners will get the opportunity to gain experience in area such as:
- horticulture and grounds maintenance
- hospitality, including a focus on the housekeeping skills needed to work in hotels etc.
Help will be available on topics such as career exploration and applying for a job, with the chance to achieve an accreditation in areas such as gardnen design, using power tools and employability.
The course will take place 1 day per week for approx. 12 weeks and you can join anytime before May 2018. All learner costs are funded and there is no charge… this is due to funding received from the European Social Fund and the Skills Funding Agency.
Are there any transport arrangements?
We will be able to help individuals with reasonable transport costs to attend the course. There will also be a taxi for learnings leaving from central Oxford (Yellow Submarine Cafe on Park End Street) coming straight to Hill End.
What days of the week will the course run?
On Tuesdays and Wednesdays
How accessible is the site?
The site is 65 acres of countryside (on a signifcant slope) and so there are areas which are hard to access. However we will do our best to accommodate anyone with disabilites and would welcome you to join us.
