Sign up for the 6 week block and pay in advance.
£8 per child per session (free for siblings if under 6 months). Once we have received your completed application you will receive details on how to pay.
What is it?
Our Forest Friday days are based on the principles of Forest School where the children learn by playing and exploring their natural environment. This approach helps children become more independent and develops their social and physical skills. The activities are led by what the children are interested in and are not directed by the adults. We are there to help them if they need it but not to direct what they are doing.
We ask that families sign up for the 6 week block to allow their children to build on their learning from week to week. This also allows them to gain confidence in the surroundings and develop a relationship with the natural world.
What will they do?
The activities will take place in an exclusive wooded part of the Hill End site. Your child will be able to:
- Climb trees
- Play in the mud
- Build dens
- Listen to stories around the fire, tell their own stories
- Search for bugs, slow worms and other minibeasts
- Make things from sticks
- Have fun in the mud kitchen
- And go wherever their imagination takes them….
