Forest School First Aid course

Suitable for Forest School Practitioners and those working in outdoor environments.

The course is tailored to Forest School Leaders, or those training to become Forest School Leaders, focusing on outdoor First Aid with paediatric elements. It fully meets the criteria as set out by Aim Qualifications and Assessment Group.
Topics include; roles & responsibilities, adult/child/infant specific treatments, dealing with collapse (with and without breathing), choking, bleeding, shock, major illnesses, torso and limb injuries, environmental effects, heat and cold injuries, using first aid kit, outdoor specific scenarios, outdoor incident management and looking after a casualty for more than 10 minutes.

Run by Paul Ross from Essential Aid Training, this First Aid course will build your confidence in working outdoors with groups. It is a busy but inspirational two days which always proves popular with our learners!

The course runs 09:00-18:00 each day (16 hours teaching time), refreshments provided, please bring a packed lunch and clothes suitable for the outdoors.

Cost:  £203.00

This course also covers paediatric first aid. There is an optional extra charge for the ITC Level 3 Award in Forest School First Aid certificate of £26.50. Please request this when booking your course.
