We believe that people are the most important asset we have.
We currently have the following opportunities available:
Sessional Outdoor Tutors
Rates of pay subject to experience
Hill End has opportunities for enthusiastic and inspiring part-time Outdoor Tutors to join a busy Educational Team.
We have been at the forefront of Outdoor Education in Oxfordshire for nearly 100 years. Situated on the edge of Oxford, our 67-acre site welcomes groups for residential and day visits, giving many visitors their first experience of being in a natural environment. We are a charitable trust and as part of this we are looking to develop and enrich our educational experiences.
As a member of our Educational Team, you could deliver a variety of outdoor learning sessions, including our popular day trips – which could range from from outdoor history days and team-building to nature and habitat explorers, dependent on your expertise. All of our programmes have a hands-on approach and environmental appreciation at their heart.
Although mainly working with primary school groups, you will have the opportunity to work with other groups, from secondary schools, to nurseries and members of the public. Experience with special needs individuals and groups is also particularly valuable. We offer sessions all year round on our beautiful site and in neighbouring Wytham Woods, and embrace the adage ‘there is no such thing as bad weather!’
This opportunity is for occasional and flexible days that suit both you and us, and regular work cannot currently be guaranteed. However, we are working towards increasing our already busy calendar and adding new experiences for our clients. Some occasional weekend and evening work may also be available.
