We believe that people are the most important asset we have.

We are currently recruiting for the following position:

Centre Director

We looking to appoint an inspirational and dedicated Centre Director to lead and manage the organisation through its next phase of development; to ensure the ongoing success of Hill End in delivering its charitable objectives and to build and strengthen the business for the future.

This is a unique and interesting role that will require someone with vision and a depth of knowledge, skills and experience. We are not just looking for a person to do a job, but for someone who is excited and passionate about both Hill End as a place and about what we do there – delivering outstanding outdoor education.

The Centre Director will be an effective leader and communicator, who can actively promote Hill End and raise its profile in Oxfordshire and beyond. They will be able to provide both strategic direction and sound operational management, with a willingness to get involved and be hands on where necessary. The ideal applicant will have a good understanding of outdoor education and learning, coupled with a strong commercial sense – the ability to run a business, identify and meet customer needs and to manage finance and budgets. They will be a good manager, able to lead a small but dedicated team, and an effective networker, able to build relationships with external groups and stakeholders. Importantly, they will also have an innovative, agile and entrepreneurial approach, always looking out for opportunities to develop Hill End and its potential and to raise funds for the organisation.

This is a permanent, full-time role.
