🐝We had a brilliant day on Wednesday when Emma Eatough, Biodiversity Manager in the University of Oxford’s Environmental Sustainability team, led an interesting and informative Bee Walk for families, Hill End volunteers and tutors. Our lucky spots (who knew there are over 250 different species of bees?! ) included carder bee, red-tailed bumblebee, ivy cellophane bee, patchwork leafcutter bee, and buff-tail bumble bee. It was fascinating to catch them in action, get a closer look and hear Emma describe their characteristics and behaviours.A wonderful opportunity to learn more about these amazing pollinators and the important role they play in our environment. @oxfordenvsust Environmental Sustainability at University of Oxford
