What do you do at Hill End?

I am the Centre Director, working with my small and friendly team to look after and develop this very special place.

How long have you been at Hill End?

I’ve been working at Hill End since 2018, and became Director in 2022.

Background

I worked for the Environment Agency for many years, then the University of Oxford in research administration. I am also a qualified science teacher and very much enjoy learning more about the natural world, so it’s fantastic to be here at Hill End helping so many adults and children enjoy outdoor education and fun!

Best memory at Hill End

Seeing all huge diversity of groups we can have here at once – WW1 days, Viking warriors, games of rounders, forest school and more – all in different parts of the site!

Favourite animal spotted on-site

The huge variety of bird life, including Red Kites and Buzzards.
